The Everything DiSC Productive Conflict Reference Guide is a tool designed to help facilitators teach the Productive Conflict profile. In the Productive Conflict assessment, participants gain conflict management and team-building skills as they learn to:
- Recognize their natural response to conflict and the response of others.
- Recognize which conflict behaviors are productive and which are destructive.
- Manage their response to situations involving conflict.
- Analyze and rework the language they use as they approach conflict.
- Use new communication strategies to take uncomfortable situations and turn them into something productive.
About the Reference Guide
The Everything DiSC Productive Conflict Reference Guide is geared to help participants and facilitators take what they’ve learned and put it into practice. Each unit includes four flipbooks, covering eighteen conflict behaviors total. Each section helps you think about why you respond to conflict the way you do and whether that response is productive.
The flipbooks include questions that are designed to make participants reflect on situations in a new way, such as: “What’s the worst thing that can happen if I say something, and will things be worse if I don’t?”
The Reference Guide is the perfect tool to keep handy after the Productive Conflict assessment is complete to remind participants of what they learned during the profile. The behaviors outlined in the flipbooks are easy to find, read and carry into conflict situations. The Productive Conflict Reference Guide can help you help participants as they become more self-aware and learn to recognize and shift their behavior.
